Simon Ree

Simon Ree has been a professional in the financial markets since 1992, beginning his career as a futures broker before moving into senior roles at Goldman Sachs and Citibank. At Goldman Sachs, he founded and led the Markets Desk in Sydney, later holding senior positions at Citibank in Singapore. With over 30 years of experience in the U.S. stock market, Simon developed deep expertise in stocks, options trading, and risk management strategies.
That front-line experience matters. Simon didn’t learn to trade from a textbook. He honed his craft in real markets, through every conceivable condition: bull runs, crashes, and everything in between. By the time he left the corporate world in 2017, he had spent 25 years developing and refining strategies that actually work.

What is Tao of Trading?
Tao of Trading is an options trading education company founded by Simon Ree. We teach private traders how to generate consistent income from the U.S. stock market using options, through Options Academy Elevate, Options Academy Accelerate, 9 lifetime Mastery programs and Simon’s book.
Who is Simon Ree?
Simon Ree is our founder. What exactly do you teach?
One thing, properly: a repeatable daily strategy for trading options on U.S. shares and ETFs. That covers reading market conditions, finding and timing setups, sizing positions, managing risk, and the trader’s mindset that lets you execute without hesitating.
Do you give financial advice or manage money?
No. Everything we publish and teach is education, not personal investment advice, and we never take custody of anybody’s money. What you do in your own account is your decision, which is exactly why we teach risk management before anything else.
Do I need experience to start?
No. Options Academy Elevate starts with how options work and builds from there, so complete beginners are welcome. Experienced traders usually come to us for consistency, for objective entries and exits, or for one of the Mastery programs.
Where are your members based?
